My mate has a Sky Digital box and dish which is no longer being used and i am thinking of taking it off his hands.
Before i do this though i would like to know the following if possible

1) can the dish/ box be used to pick up any channels from other countries??
2) what would i need to enable me to do this? (card type, dish positioning etc)

thanks

Yes it can, but it is not very good at it, as it is designed to receive the Sky package and does not have as wide a range of settings as a conventional receiver.

Free to air channels only I'm afraid and the digibox does not have a positioner control facility. You can still pick up quite a bit from the 28.2 Sky digital location that is free to air and free to view with a BBC FTV card.
