Hi all,
I live in Scotland and I am a newbie to the whole satellite thing, I currently have a very basic 80cm dish and univeral LNB with an analogue receiver.
So far i get a great reception signa, but I want more!!! was thinking about getting a new didital receiver with a couple of CI slots ect.

Would I be able to use a Sky digibox and retune to get the chanels I want, or do I have to go for a Non-sky receiver???

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Depends what you want.

If you want the channels at 28E you will need a digibox for any channels encrypted with videoguard (ie ITV, C2, Five, etc), assuming you can put your hands on a working videoguard card that is!

The BBC channels are unencrypted and can be received on just about any digital receiver - and the digibox of course.

For other satellites then the world is your lobster for choice. Really depends on which satellite you have in mind and/or what channels you have in mind.
