Not sure if this is the best section for this, but couldn't seem to find an appropriate section, anyway I was wondering if anyone knew where i should start to learn about satellite as i have very limited knowledge and would like to get up to speed before asking any silly question and posting in the wrong section, any help would be much appreciated

I suggest you have a good look through the various different forums. Have a good read and do not be intimidated by the place, everyone (nearly) is very friendly and co-operative. go to the drop down window towards the bottom right of the page to access different sections and start reading.
