sky freezing

have multiroom but the older box that was moved upstairs freezes up and locks out ,downloaded latest soft ,still does it ,its a very regular thing and is a pain ,any help ,also how much is it to get a sky+ box in the second room aswell as downstairs

If you have tested your other receiver and it is OK on the upstairs connection, then it is probably your box, older Grundigs are notorious for power supply failure and it's easy to install a new power supply, Amstrads seem to suffer from tuner problems and other problems which I believe are mentioned in another thread. You can pick up a Sky+ box on somewher like eBay for around £150, probably less.

If you want to check it's not a cable or other fault you could swap the boxes for a day or so.
