I'm sure i'm not the first to see the extreme similarity between the wonderfully designed SKY+ STB from Pace and this upstart device from Microsoft (below)? Its rather uncanny.
Interestly, they are both about the same price, have a hard drive and suggest a functioning (DSL) telephone line for 'full' functionality. I wonder if you can get SKY Sports One on it?
Equally, I wonder if SKY/Pace see this as 'imitation being the best form of flattery'?
Like ......... anyone sad enough to remember the patent SONY had/has on the 'Jog-dial-(push to) select' button first used on Minidisc and latterly used on anything SONY? A small detail but important nonetheless.
For those, like me, who haven't got a clue about games consoles - the above image is the XBOX 360 (the more expensive one?). The only thing I don't quite grasp is why the standby icon is seen in the correct orientation - even though the unit is actually standing on its side??!
Have Fun,
Mark.
