Sky Go is an application built for the iPhone and iPad which allows subscribers of the satellite television service to view live broadcasts on the mentioned devices. Today, Sky has made the mobile app even better – not only can clients view sports content and TV channels on their iOS devices, they now have access to Sky Movies either live or on-demand.

Director Ian Lewis of Sky Movies said: “Sky Movies on demand gives customers complete control over how, when and where they enjoy the latest movies.”
Movies may now be viewed at any time and any place the user chooses to, so long as there’s a Wi-Fi connection present. As of the moment, watching your favorite films via 3G connection is not possible, but the broadcaster did mention such capabilities will be available some time near the end of this year.

Despite Sky Go being a relatively new app (launched July earlier this year), it was able to rake in roughly 2 million users. The availability of this application will reach the Android market, as soon as a compatible version is created within the coming months.

The application is available to Sky subscribers who have access to Sky Movies, at no additional costs. Moreover, non-Sky customers may also avail the services rendered by the mobile app, but will be charged for doing so.
