so for a lot of us we have finally lost the bbc channels

one small crumb of comfort is the possibility of some viewers to receive sky one where they previously could not

sky one has recently started transmitting from 12.285v

from malta with a 1.2m dish you can't get a signal from the epg version of this channel but can recieve two versions of this channel via the add channels feature but if you try to view it from other channels you get a 'no signal' exactly as with the bbc channels during the dual transmission from 2d and 2a

the good news though is the trick to get the bbc 2a channels back works similarly for sky one so if you do the unplug thing and add channels from 12.285v you can view sky one

;)

Probably in a few days they will perform an "EPG switch" and then you will be able to get SkyOne on 12285V via the EPG, so keep checking ch. 106

SKY ONE can now (from Tues 3rd June) be picked up in the Canary Islands on a small dish as you said it would. No additional setup - just punch in 106.

Nice One!!

Have tried the plug, unplug thing to receive Sky one but doesn't seem to work here in Rome. Worked fine for the brief spell of BBC last week but not for Sky One. Has anyone had success with Sky One in the Rome area?
