I'm probably going to have to replace my Pace ds430n which has been very reliable up until now (I may have broken it).

I know very little about Sky plus having been out of the UK for years now. Is this something I can get easily abroad or does it mean paying lots and having to use UK addresses and so on that will just be hassle?

How much is it likely to cost me to set up after I've bought a Sky plus box on ebay?

Am I better off just trying to get another ds430n? Or is there a better solution?

Thanks for any help.

Hello

I have a Pace TDS470N Sky+ Digibox (3 months use).

If you want I can sell it to you (send me a private message if you are interesting). Sky plus is now free, so if you have a working Sky card you won't have a problem.

I don't have a Sky subscription, I just get the free channels, although I do have one of the cards that just get me Channel 4, 5 and Sky 3.

Would it work?

I like to think I'm interesting, but you'd have to ask my friends.

According to their website
_http://packages.sky.com/see/EquipmentSkyPlus.aspx
the _sky+ service is free if you're a _Sky tv customer.

hey ramblingbob... i'm moving to western norway next year.. i liveed there b4 for 11 years.. yes it would be very expensive to leagally run a sky box from there and you would need UK addresses etc, however, if you have freinds who have sky in the uk that they pay for every month, you could clone the card and use that. the next problem would be the size of dish.. this would depend on your lattitude, stavanger is 1 size, Bergen is bigger, and the further north, you go.. you get the idea.. however, around the Stord area you could get a 95cm dish and with your sky box you would receive all free to view chanles like beeb 1, 2, 3 chanel 4 etc

You can't clone a Sky card, so that part of the idea is dead in the water.
