There is an issue with the SKY+ PVR160 (Thomson) where in the Services Signal test menu, IF2 shows as no signal. This is due to a software bug that leaves IF2 in an intermediate state until the user gives it something to do.

To activate IF2 (tuner 2) perform the following:-
- Install the box as normal and allow to power up. (Note the card must be inserted before inserting the mains lead)
- Activate the SKY+ account (or use a pre-authorised SKY+ unpaired card). Note this could take upto two hours
- Once the welcome screen is displayed, select 101 (BBC1)
- Press Record, not Pause and make sure the red Record LED comes on this locks Tuner 1
- Change Channel to 102 (BBC2). This starts Tuner 2
- Select Services Signal Test - The IF2 signal will now appear

This software bug has been fixed and approved by SKY but the entire software upgrade has not been approved for transmission/use yet.

Do you know what else is in the s/w release. Is it the SKY+ equivelent of the recent Digibox release which includes the "red dot supression" feature??

Thanks.
