Sky signal upgrade in September?

Seems quite a few sky customers in Sherborne (Dorset) are having problems with the sky signal.

Apparently the signal will get upgraded in September.

Does anyone know what they are referring to please?

I didn't notice any major signal drop outs etc on my Tm 5302 last time I was there.

I think if you Google, it's a problem with their broadband service......unless they are in the infamous Sherbourne Astra2 null...

Thts 11307V. Plenty of signal here so I suggest there is some sort of local interference

Stock land Hill appears to be the only viable transmitter for the village

Stock land hill is the local free view transmitter, for Sherborne.

One of the sky forums have quoted this:

Tiny Pop is broadcast on the same channel as True Movies/True Movies 2. These channels are known for interference issues from DECT phones.

So perhaps it is a local interference issue.

According to the link, none of those channels are available from the transmitter

Stockland Hill (Devon, England) Full Freeview transmitter

Just checked, it's still on satellite (no frequency change), and Freeview it is on channel 126.

There have been warnings of a changes on Freeview for at least ten days, but unless this affects new televisions only it is not a problem here.

Ah so nothing at all to do with Sky. On Freesat its moved to one of the muxes only available to the bigger transmitters.

If you are served by Freeview Lite - forget it.
