on topic with this, a sky expert on live support chat confirmed to me yesterday that sky will carry on broadcasting over satellite even if they launch a tv over internet service.

Did you really think sky would cut satellite, and switch to internet only???

Sky want to add it to the existing services, so the people that can't have a mini dish for what ever reason.

Ah, an Expert.
at sky, that's an understatement :-rofl2

Sky want to increase their customer base, it will run along side, "normal" sky, sky q, sky free sat, now tv, not cut the customer base, to only internet.
