When you tried the other box, did it work? I guess by the 32% intensity there is no connection to the LNB on the dish. Re-check the cable is properly connected, even try wiggling it a little to see if it makes any difference.

Do you live in a flat or have a shared dish of any kind? Is the dish a standard Sky dish? You could try changing the DiSEqC 1.0 setting to any of the options and seeing if it makes any difference to the intensity level.

Hi. I can only see the one transponder 11426/27500.
Factory reset gives me the 2 satellites I started the thread with. This is making me want to cry…,

My Skybox F3 was receiving SKY UK (free) channels fine, until yesterday when we stupidly disconnected the box to try another one. Now I only see K_hotbird 6/8/9 and k_astra 1H/IK/1L as satellite options, how do i add back my UK channels. Im not tech savvy, so in need of help?

I cannot think of a reason why just disconnecting, and then connecting, could lead to all those problems.
Or.... did you maybe reconnect the antenna cable while power was already connected/ON? You might have caused a shortage, and activated the protect mode of the receiver.
And did you then try a Factory Reset? Ouch!, not a good solution, usually. In fact, trouble shooting often gets shaded, after that...

1. But do I understand right that we are now basically trying to find the proper setup, after complete Factory reset?
2. Second question, to rule out switched on protected mode: did you have the box completely without power (power cord disconnected), for a minute, before you worked on all the (new) settings?

No, the other box connected to Turtsat I think, or something like that, then when I reconnected to F3 all the problems started. I didn’t poweroff when I reattached the cable… have I caused irreversible damage? No change by moving the wire. No I didnt unplug the box…. So you think I should try that?

The protect mode is there to prevent irreversible damage, so I think not.
And yes, before trying to setup again, I would totally unplug the 230 Volt cable, before powering up again.
And then do all that was suggested: defining a satellite, defining a transponder, and scan.

Ok. Do I plug in the antenna cable before or after rebooting the box?? Or leave them plugged in and just unplug the power cables??

Leave antenna cable plugged in. It is while unplugging that, and replugging that, that a (temporary) shortage can occur, that induces the protect mode.

So normally, only unplug/replug antenna/LNB cables, while power is disconnected!

When you say the other box was for Turksat, does that mean the dish is motorised and moves? A photo of the dish would confirm this.

I think so, when I plugged in the new box (

Vmade C5 Upgrade Full HD Combo DVB-S/S2 DVB-T/T2 Satellite & Terrestrial Digital Receiver) bought from Amazon. It did say something about automatically moving the dish. If its motorised how do I change it back??

What a mess I have made !

A photo of the dish would confirm this.

Take photos both from the side, and from the front.
As to see if there is a motor, and how many/what kind of LNBs there are.

Because it says 'moving dish' or something like that, it does not automatically mean it is motorised.

However if it is motorised, go to Antenna Setup, go down to Motor Type - select USALS (the most common type). Underneath it will now show Motor Setting, move down to highlight it and press OK. Here you need to enter the Longitude and Latitude of your address. Then select Test Signal and press OK. It will then move the dish to Astra 2 Sky UK as long as the longitude for that satellite is set to 28.2E in the Satellite List.

(No damage will be done if you try this and dish isn't motorised btw).

That's a fixed Zone 1 Sky minidish with a quad LNB. It is not motorised. My best guess is the cable has been damaged when unscrewing and reconnecting the cable, or is somehow not properly connected.

I was able to get my Openbox to display 31% Signal Intensity when the outer shield of the cable was connected, but the inner core wasn't. Perhaps that adds to the theory that either the inner central wire is damaged or not making proper electrical connection.

Can I ask one basic question?
The Skybox F3 seems to have a LNB in connector, as well as a Loop connector, have you connected your F Connector to the correct port?

As mentioned you have a basic sky setup, fixed dish, which is hopefully still pointing at Astra 2, 28.2E, so setting up should be quite simple.

In some of the images, you have posted, you seem to have gone into the motor settings, and put your Latitude, and Longitude, as 28.2, which is incorrect, but doesn't matter, as you're not using a motorized dish.

Once you have checked your connection, to the receiver, is connected to the LNB input, top connection, then we can try to ascertain the correct settings, to see if this is a hardware fault, failed LNB, damaged cable, or connections, or just a settings problem.

I'm curious as to why you tried a different receiver, was this just to test another receiver, or were you experiencing any problems, with the Skybox F3, prior to replacing it?

When connecting the cable, make sure the only wire coming through the F-connector is the central core, if any of the outer wires are poking through it won't make proper connection.

Make sure the central core is inserted into the hole on the receiver's connector.

Is this correct for London ? Because I can’t find a minus sign ?

As the dish is not motorised you don't need to input longitude and latitude. Set Motor Type to OFF.

What is the white cable connected to? Also what is the text under each connector?
