Skynet millitary sats

Can you get these sats in the UK? Where are they located and what equipment is needed for them? Are the transmissions from them just feeds or actul channels? I'm just interested that's all, being nosey.

4E - 52E
4F - 34W

The 4's have UHF, X-band and EHF band downlinks

5A - 1W
5B - 53E
5C - to launch later in the year as inorbit spare

5A has UHF & X-band downlinks
5B currently unknown.

I guarantee the downlinks will be heavily encrypted.

Strangely enough this is the second enquiry Ive seen about this today - nothing to do with the SAS TV report in The Sun rag is it?? ;)

Thanks this is interesting, I do know quite a bit about satellite but i'm still confused. How comes these sats ain't listed on lyngsat, is it because their private? Also out of all the sats you have said about which am I likely to pickup with my 1M dish in the UK? I know what I pickup will be useless but i'd love to have a go at getting something. Also is what is broadcast feeds or channels?

I very much doubt there are proper channels on them. Military comms will be on them, and data channels etc.

Lyngsat wont list them as they arent C/Ku-band, dont have anything useful on them for enthusiasts, and its quite possible that the sites have been asked not to draw attention to them.

Without knowing what freqs are in use the chances of getting anything off them is very remote indeed.
