I had a lot of trouble trying to get the SkyStar 2 to drive my motor (a Motek SG2100), I finally got it to work with progDVB after tracking down these drivers from some czech website. Which is why I am uploading them here so that people can find them easily.

BTW I think you need to make sure that you have the latest SS2 drivers from www.technisat.com before using these drivers to get it working, make sure you read the readme file since it has a step that you'ld probably no do and wonder why it doesnt work.

Thanks for that Damien, the drivers for DiseqC 1.2 can be a devil to set up and as you say, it must be done exactly according to the readme. :)

I was almost at the point of giving up on using the motor with the SS2, people made it out to work on the web but i tinkered around for so long to no avail. Anyways its working now so I wont need to use my STB just to drive the motor anymore!

Damien,

Sounds to me like there's a truck load of b99ering about whtever kit you're using. All things considered how happy are you with the ss2?

If you read the readme file properly, it's a piece of cake, and always has been. :)

Exactly as Stick says its easy once you have a compatible plugin.

I'm about as happy as I can be, I do prefer my STB, but the SS2 gives a lot of flexability and lets you test things quicker than programming cards and cams.

Exactly. Whatever else I had, I would always have an SS2 as well.

Quick, easy, cheap, it makes a perfect testbed for my Dreambox.
Great backup as well. Not afraid to Arsenal about with my STB just before the football now!

Recently, I've been transferring all the .mpg files recorded with my SS2 to my Dreambox, so the wife can watch them too.

... well maybe not ALL the movies ... ;)
