I've just realized that the script uses a utility called 'xml2epg' ! .
I think this comes installed with MV, but just to be on the safe side I've included it in a new, third, package :

also it says ftp to /var/tuxbox/plugins/) but when i use dcc for my dreambox 600 i cant find a "plugins" extension from this. Any help greatly appreciated Thanks

don't know about DM600, but why the fuzz ?
Just put PLi Jade on your DM600, it has scripts & plugins to retrieve the epg data from RadioTimes, the best you can get.

some other images will provide you with epg scripts too.

hi does this mean flashing a new image i.e. PLI Jade is there any plugin for EPG for gemini? Does EPG Evolution work on Gemini

Yes, that means flashing a new image.
about Gemini : don't know if these EPG scripts are available to Gemini users. The PLi scripts won't work, that's for sure.
there used to be a script that worked in all images, as stated in the beginning of this thread. It should be possible to adapt this for Gemini, but I think you would be better of installing PLi Jade.
