Small Group Buy Of Servo Polarity Controller From USA

Hi,

Would any forum members be interested in a small group buy of some servo polarity controllers from the USA (Ricks Satellite) Myself and "Captain Jack" are planning to buy some and can include additional units if required by any other members.

These servo polarity controllers are used to control the rotation of an LNBF in a feed in order to peak the polarity. There is a discussion on their use in the "AV-COMM & Zinwell LNBF" topic, link below.

Please note, my understanding is that the 9V PSU supplied with the controller is redundant and a UK version of appropriate rating will need to be purchased in the UK.

I received a reply (pasted below) with quote from Rick Caylor for the purchase of 5 APC units.


The units are 49.00 each. Sorry, but I don't have much mark up on these, so I can't discount them further.

USPS Priority Mail shipping would be 67.00 USD.

245.00 + 67.00 = 312.00 USD

The cost per unit works out at $62.40 USD, which is approximately £46.80p GBP. No doubt PayPal will offer an exchange rate slightly more in their favour. Add on to the £46.80p the customs charges (~ 20% ?) and local shipping in the UK (~ £8 ?) and the approximate price to your door is £64.16p per unit. Please note this is a rough estimate just to provide a ball park figure.

I will leave the option open to the end of today to allow any other members to indicate a wish to buy a unit. The current list of intending buyers is as below:

Thanks for the estimated cost breakdown MB, for anybody contemplating a servo controller these are a nice unit with versatility . Been operating my unit for nearly a year without any problems.
