I don't know what they are....the only 'splitter' I've seen is a software one that splits a funcard file over 2 cards when it's too big for one card.

I've not seen any successful reports of people using these, they used to work with sharing the old analogue cards between two receivers, but I don't think that they work with the newer digital encryptions.

I haven't seen card splitters ever in real if they work or not but read in several fora that some people achieved others not. What i can tell for sure is that it is possible to share an original smart card like Nova Hellas. Suppose that's what greekguy is after for. Usually a receiver is set up like a server which runs the original card and the other receivers have to run on emulation, so without any CAM or programmed card. They get the keys over LAN or WAN. The easiest way to set it up is using 2 Dreamboxes 7000S.
Please search for "cardsharing" if you wanna know more.

Yes the cardsharing community is becoming quite large, but does of course require some members to hold valid subscriptions, it works with the Dreamboxes and also PCI Satellite cards.

Still not heard any positive reports on the cards splitters though.

It would be great if they could make them work on the internet also, just add a network card and some small Linux in the chip and voila you have a cardsharing system that doesn't need Dreamboxes and all that for people who can't afford another receiver.

Shouldn't be too hard to develop.

YES, Shouldn't be too hard to develop. There's technology called CV12 card sharing device which make one card share to the whole world.

visit www.geocities.com/MAKINMONEY for more info...

Seen that, but you're paying a yearly service fee for using their server, I think I'd rather pay the original provider, at least the money then goes to making the programmes.

As you say though, shouldn't take too much to adapt the technology. :)

Hello,
I am interested by this product but has anyone tested it already? Does it work on IRDETO2?
