Yep, sitting here waiting for it to arrive, a good excuse to have a day off. :) You should get it first though. :)

It's one of those strange things, I can schedule a day off whenever I want, but an enforced day off has no guilt. :D

A passing shower has now dumped the merest dusting on the ground :) Looks more like icing sugar then snow.

Snowed here yesterday (before it hit the news), but not for too long and it's mostly gone today. I think it was from a different weather system than the big one forecast for further south.

A couple of inches (so far) here. Won't need to climb a ladder to clear the snow from this dish. A temporary home for one of mine while I'm erecting new fencing. Glad I took the old fences down yesterday, just the old posts to remove - work halted for now though :-doh2

Why is it that the slightest covering of snow brings the country to a panicking stop. Our local newspaper has even brought out a special 'snow edition' FFS.

edit: include piccy

See, we had alot of snow in the West Mids.....

Our local Look East news is obsessed by the weather. I expect they're gearing up now for blanket coverage tonight of the expected 'appalling weather conditions' on our roads.

Last night they had a freezing reporter on a motorway bridge just to let us know that the traffic we are seeing could well be, well, driving in snowy conditions tonight! So wrap up well and take a flask of tea!

One night last year on the same station the promised snowbound conditions didn't materialise, and their strategically placed reporters were stuck for something to say about the lack of snow. So the one at an airport had to make his contribution worthwhile by spending five minutes asking various officials how the, erm, lack of snow has affected their contingency plans...yawn...
