IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II
1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 25 years and is now fixed on 13 East using two pairs of rusty molegrips. Unlike me they never groan but always perform.
Done it, but only on the Post Office Tower (now BT Tower) over 35 years ago. Mind you, would not attempt anything like that now after nearly doing a "Roy Hudd's Aerial" on my old bosses roof last year. I must admit looking at that picture made my b*lls shrink and my knees go all wobbly. I really admire those chaps who work on the sky scraper steelwork and high level aerial installers and the chaps who errect those tall cranes.
As the saying goes "going down is OK it's the sudden stop at the end which is a killer";)
@ CHOr was it Rod Hull? The chap who fell off the roof whilst adjusting his TV aerial. It was one of those names, very similar. Memory going, senility creeping up very fast, cremation paid for, now going to have a piece of steak, colesterol level due to go up, clogged arteries, turn the lights off, see you all in hell!
