but 4 now i need help on how to update my box with channel lists etc and what i need and how to edit and add stations to my favourites .i have a golden interstat dvb ts 8700

well you appear to have a combination unit there both digital terrestrial and digital satellite as per this translated page here the problem you will have is that unless another member has one then you will struggle as all stb's vary in their operational modes. Each one is different, the other problem is that most of the sites that mention this are not in English. Try doing a Google search for your model and you will see what I mean
