Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

So one could still technically use it for basic things?
Never had a Chapparal myself, but had the equally expensive Echostar SR-8700, a precursor of the LT-8700 (without the UHF Remote module).

No doubt there would have been some kind of software update to enable the Chapparal to integrate the DVB-S section, but I don't know how the OMD300 board was physically connected to the receiver. Maybe somebody can recall how it was achieved.
