A sad reflection of our society you can put up a 12 foot by 8 foot shed in your garden with no complaints but when you put up a 7 foot 10 inch /240cm dish they all complain :(

Sorry to here this about our Iranian hobbyist friends suppression at it's worst maybe they never watched IRIB ;)

That report says, "around 60% of households in Tehran still own a dish, and if it is confiscated, residents often simply go out and buy another." Sounds like a lot of people are sticking two fingers up at that law. Might be worth investing in a fake plastic rock or some black bin liners to hide the dishes in so they aren't so obvious to anyone looking for them.

'Sounds like a lot of people are sticking two fingers up at that law'.

Good for them, I remember way back in 1997 I was with a colleague of mine in Milton Keynes doing a complete course on VSAT
Technology in a Hughes networking Lab for 5 weeks, and we had two Iranian nationals with us, besides others (Actually these boys were engineers taking care of a complete Government VSAT system back at home and from time to time they were given updated courses) anyway what struck me was that after finishing the day course around 4p.m. We used to go to our hotel, freshen up and go where ever we pleased...But these two boys had to remain in the hotel or else go for some necessary shopping BUT always with a sort of 'Commissar' making sure that they don't go wandering off and get ''infected'' from the 'bad' European people. Use to pity them like hell because in all reality the Iranian folks are a really good bunch.
