Whilst things were quiet here Ive been playing with SSTV reception. No receivers here so Ive been experimenting with web based SDRs! And the MMSSTV software we used a couple of weeks ago for the ISS passes. Its not perfect but its a fun thing to do. If you want a go tune an websdr to 14230KHz USB - then leave it running. Thats about the only frequency Ive had any luck with so far.

Nice Catch :)

Have a look on
7.170 - 7.173MHz & 7.058MHz

Also have you tried decoding any PSK/RTTY/CW etc?
Hellschreiber is an interesting mode.

And there is DRM, Digital Radio Mondiale - That's interesting :)

Not tried any of the others modes yet (Ive downloaded some of the software) and Ive had a look around 7170 but not had any luck spotting likely signals.

One of the problems Im running into is that my elderly desktop is really struggling to run all the stuff on it at the same time - the browsers have got so bloated in recent years they are tying up more and more of the available resources! The processor use zips up to 80-90% at times and the decodes of the various bits of software stall - I get wavy SSTV pictures! :(

All depends on the propagation really, if 40m looks busy its worth checking the above frequencies.
