Hello

I bought a new sat reciver strong 6126, i was surfing the internet and i found this super site, and i saw that you can make a lot of thing with reciver and PC.
So i would like to know what can i do if i would to see some coded programs.
I know that i must load new software in the reciver but i dont know wich or where to get it. What must i do later when i patch it i heard something about inserting keys ... ...

Some receivers ( and I do not know if yours is one of them) can be flashed with non manufacturers firmware which will either contain the keys or contain the facility to enter the keys or both. There are many sites available and a listing of those sites is here. You do not say which site you found the information on. If yours can be upgraded then you will need a cable to connect between the stb and your pc com port. It may be a standard rs 232 or it may be a null modem. Each manufacturer has their own preferences.

Yes it can be flashed i found a lot of software for strong 6216.
Here is a content of one of them i got.

Application Loader.exe
Bootloader.exe
Patchloader.exe
Patch.bin
keys.bin
srt6126.urt

I am aware of danger if i make a mistake while flashing the recive.
I dont know the right procedure for patching must reciver be turned off or not.
What is the .urt file for??
What can i do with BootLoader??

Dear friends,

I have the same problem with my Strong SRT 6126. I don’t know how to upgrade it. Please inform me if you do know how I can manage to upgrade it. I have a RS-232 cable too.
