I took a gamble and just bought another one from the same place and actually surprised, it's redesigned.

Wire comes in the bottom not the top, has drain holes and theres also a rubber gasket that slips over where the actuator bar extends from the main body.


I've also bought some new motor brushes for 3 quid to try resurrect the old one as a spare!

I did quite like the idea suggested earlier above moving the attachment point so the motor has more leverage, I'll have to scout B&Q for some ideal bolts. This gets me back up and running for now though.
