Hi

I am contemplating buying these components in order to have a motorized system.

1. Receiver: Technomate TM5500CIPLUS

2. Dish: ISS 1.0m Solid Pole Mount

3. Motor: 12" Actuator

4. LNB: Invacom 0.3 universal single

My questions are:
  • Can they function together (are they all compatible)?
  • Do I need to buy anything else?
  • Is Actuator another name for a motor?
  • Is it true that I need a min 1m dish to receive Russian channels NTV and ORT (I live in London)?
Any input is appreciated.

Thanks
Berlioz

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Hi Berlioz
If the Technomate has four connectors for use with a stadard actuator then apart from cables, you have everything (a wall or ground mount is also needed)

If it is only a DiSEqC model - which I thnk it is - then you will also require a converter such as the Aston box

A 1m dish is fine for the ORT/NTV transponder on 5E along with Moscow Open World, you will need a 1.2 to get the other other Russian channel - Pervey canal.
Bear in mind NTV is promoting subscription changes at the moment with a move over to Viaccess 2.
