Sorted now I can get a 1.8 dish but unable to get both East and West satellites. So which is better? This will make a difference where I place the dish and the cable runs. I am OK with Ku band but this C band is all new to me so all advice on LNB's etc is welcome.

Both sides have decent C band but really depends on what you are looking for.

West side is more Latin America stuff and East has more Middle East, African and Russian content. Check Lyngsat for the channels being transmitted.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

You want to see new channels, not the same content that is available, so point west.

C band is also relatively friendly with foliage, so you should get coverage even though there are plants in the way to the East

Interesting! Although I clear the trees/foliage here 60e-60w lower down and I'll be pointing through foliage.
Another excuse to get a big dish for C then. Might put the shed/workshop on hold.
