I have the above receiver connected to a Fibo 90cm dish and universal Invacom lnb but am having problems with tuning, getting the dreaded ' no signal' message.

The 4 threaded F connectors viewed from the back coded as : A- top left, B- bottom left, C- top right and D-bottom right.

I have the dish connected to A, but am unsure of the connection for the analogue loop-through, although I believe this is B to C.

Assuming these connections are correct are there any settings within the menus which could be wrong, I have checked that the lnb power is on and it is set to universal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Regards,

That sounds right, but I haven't set one up for a while. Are you sure that the dish is aligned properly on whichever satellite you are trying to receive?

Hi Rolfw,
Thanks for the reply.

The dish is pointing at 0.8 deg ( due South ), as I have just reset the limits.

There is no response from Hotbird on 13 deg E, which is normally a huge signal with a good quality figure.

I have checked the output on A, with a digital volt meter, and this reads 13v DC, which correlates with data in the Technomate manual.

The cable used is new, foam filled type 100, as is the lnb.

So this was a working dish before the Technomate?

Hi there,

Yes, the dish / receiver were working perfectly before I packed the receiver away during a long period of decorating when I retired.

Now that the receiver is reinstalled I cannot receive any channels on the various satellites within +/- 40deg of due South.

The Fibo dish is set up entirely by latitude, which is very straightforward, and apart from any setup menu errors I may have made the 'no signal' message is a complete mystery to me.

If anyone with a similar receiver could confirm that the rear F connector settings are in fact correct ( see original posting ), this would at least eliminate one possibility.
