problem is i only have humax freesat receiver so cant really pick testcards up

Yes you can, try re-scanning the satellite. If you get stuck flysat lists quite a few feed frequencies, you just might have to type them in yourself.

Ah. Well you can get any number of perfectly good generic DVB S2 receivers for twenty or thirty pounds nowadays.
