Yup, just as I thought and extremely odd. I have it exactly like that (spent time on different images as well) and never got it to read the white one. No issues at all with old blue. I think B16MCC had similar issues... I bought the omnikey 3121 for €7 and after installing it (1 hour max) the Smargo (€40) went into a drawer. I will sell it to my italian friends since it's needed for their NDS3 cards, but obviously right now is not a good time for them ;-)
Whitelighter said:My configs have evolved over time so knowing the exact changes is difficult. I have compared my newcs.xml file with the stock one from the Gemini Blue Panel, below are the notable differences.
type: smartreader+
mhz: 357
node: /dev/usb/tts/0
enabled: Yes
boxkey: convert box id from decimal to hexadecimal, add leading zeros if not 8 characters
Rest of the config is as per usual.
Also ensure your Smargo is in dreambox mode.
I've found it helpful to run NewCS from the console as follows.Code:root@dm800:/tmp# ./srp_tools_mipsel smartreader+ version v1.3 MODE autoswitch FREQ 3.69 Mhz KERNEL dreambox T_MODE t = 0 EGT 0
This lets you see if the card init was successful. If you see it failing, kill NewCS, remove the Smargo from the Dreambox, plug it back in and try NewCS again.Code:newcs_1.67 -nd
I'd advise on getting NewCS working and showing the card entitlements before moving onto configuring CCcam / Mgcamd.
Hope this helps.
