thank you very very much for your help.i put this http://192.168.1.22:8080/ in my web browser it comes up newcs the softcam in big letters and underneath it asks for username and password i put dm600 user and dm600 pass so do i do this and then add to my dm 800 newcs.xml sorry for being a pest andel

no you need to look at the newcs xml and see what the username and password is set to for logging in. Its usually admin and admin by default i think.

type in the ip of the box that has the card in it and is running newcs. I was going by the details you used in post 587 where you got to the login of newcs in your browser.

Can anyone tell me if the following setup would update the entitlements on my white card. A dreambox 500s with no dish connected or channels tuned. It has the white card in the reader with MGcamd and NewCS running. This is connected via an N: line to my other box running Cccam (card shows as hop1). Question is, would the Emm's received to the Cccam box make it through the N: line and into MGcamd on the DM500s to update the entitlements of the card? I'm basically just using the DM500s as a giant card reader.

Guys CCcam 2.1.3 runs this card perfectly at the moment. The card stays at a normal operating temp. and takes entitlement updates regardless of which reader you use. It works in the internal readers in all boxes, and it works in the smargo.
If you're struggling to setup CCcam 2.1.3 with this card then use my config creator now in v0.9.0. Click the link in my sig for my config creator.

you say it works with all readers ?as far as am led to belive it doesnt work with an omnikey reader on ubuntu or am talking my usual rubbish
