Hi m8's ..
Just curious as to who make the best diseqc & powered a/b and if still available ...priority swiches with lowest insertion loss ?
Most diseqc switches appear to suck around 3db out of the system ...but does anyone manufacture a premium switch with around 1.5 > 2db insertion loss accross the sat IF spectrum.
I ask because at the moment Im using manual A/B switches which is certainly the only low loss option I've found short of physically swapping f connectors.
Failing that ...perhaps I might consider permanent in line IF taps from the main dish feeds to my set top boxes ..in order to get feeds to my various sat pci cards.
Of course this option would then require dc blocking and no H/V control by the pci cards....and presumably the losses would once again accumilate...
..also the stb's would then have to remain on..
any thoughts ?
