The DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HEX FILE AND THE BIN ONE!??

Dear Friends,

Would ya plz tell me the difference between the hex file and the bin one. As ya know Aploading a wrong bin file (for upgrading) will harm the receiver, So can a hex file harm be harmful for a receiver?? I mean are there different hex files for different receivers and some will damage a receiver???

Plz Help Me!!!

Generaly , you shud be careful about upgrading reciver whith any file type , to be shure if you have no expiriante , wait a one or 2 days to see what will other people told about it than use it or not. Diferentie of bin/hex file (you mean propably on intel hex 8 type for computer is only one file what is not directly "understundable" whithout "translator" so only bin files can be understundable for computer from card MCU to space suttle and military equipment.In intel hex file you got divided hex (8 bit) number in nibbles and translated in ascii value from 0-f all other will be copied (eg. 0D is == OD in bin and hex type , but 38 in bin is ==3338 in hex etc..).
