Where will all those electric charging points be located?
Imagine a row of terraced houses with no garage facilities at the rear. There may be several electric vehicle owners in the row needing access to a charging point.
Obviously impractical to provide multiple points outside.Where will the cables to the kerbside cars be routed? Several cables slung over the pavement every night and/or morning? Pedestrian mayhem.

We've just had yet another power cut, this one only lasted a few seconds, but it knocked out my computer, printer, cooker timer, VU+, DVD recorder, Microwave, etc..., and house alarms are going off.
Possibly due to new houses being built, in our area.
We have enough problems, providing a constant electric supply, now, what facilities will be put in place, to guarantee that we don't have more, in the future?
Will we all have to get our own turbines, solar panels, or other environmentally friendly sources of electricity?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

There are moves to bio aviation fuel, but by far the most consumed is a diesel type, used to be called JetB and contains naphtha. Still fossil fuel derived though as the aviation industry uses lots of it.

Anyone entitled to own a car next year will have to have a garage on the house.

Socially devisive. Like a tax on the poor.

I believe the introduction of Oyster and the general cost of commuting to work preclude anything being dumped on the population now.

The way it is being brought in is deeply worrying, not content with the last shower actively encouraging the purchase diesels a decade ago, two years back Islington introduced charges for polluting vehicle parked up in the constituency.

Islington Council's £96-a-year diesel tax on the cars it encouraged people to buy | This is Money

Anyone want to guess where the money is being trousered - ahem - used to improve the health and wellbeing of those living there ?

I know it is out of topic, but will not create new thread because of small piece of info. I am not fan of numerology, but those digits on odometer looked funny for me. So I grabbed my cellphone and took picture. IMG_20180712_124822 (Large).jpg

Get your Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) soon - if/when you can afford it (and then stay WELL clear of me, because, like most "normal" people, I don't have, and don't want one anytime soon because I wouldn't trust myself in the sky after my febrile attempts at flying a plane in a simulator a few years ago - and don't mention self-driving cars as an example of what is coming - they still kill people!) :-rofl2

I'm sure I saw something similar a couple of years ago, but an interesting article on converting combustion engine particulates to something useful and everyday, not so much for the conversion highlighted, but the procedures and ingredients currently used to make toners.
