The only history the Dalek looked at in the episode was the one created by humans, so theres is always room for error.

Im a bit worried that it has Ms Pipers DNA in it, no doubt theres a bit of Mr Evans genetic makeup as well (might explain the 'gold' colour Paul)

Anyhow, if time travel is possible, whats the problem

I loved the swiveling sink-plunger/egg-whisk mid-section! Am I right in thinking that's the first time we've seen that?!?!?!

Nothing wrong with a bit of anorak in moderation... :D

I cant remember a middle swivelling section - that was a nice bit of redesign. :)

Meant to mention the rotating mid-section in my previous post, what a great idea. I especially liked the camera view from on top showing the "head" and main body staying static.

I think we can safely say the poll for best Doctor Who foe is now without doubt.

And what about being "suckered" to death. What a laugh!

Do you often have difficulty separating reality from fiction?

Perhaps some flash cards a la Father Ted would help.

Who was it that once uttered

This show seems to improve every time I see it and in my eyes it has reached the stage of being "unmissable".
Have seen the last two weeks (missed the two previous weeks) tell you what I won't be missing any more.
Well done the beep.

I always enjoy a nice time paradox story and this one was quite satisfying. It was a bit obvious what was going to happen but the interesting part was seeing how it got there.

The reapers were quite well done, albeit in a derivitive manner. But that's the problem with CGI nowadays, we're all bored by the excellence of just about everything. In fact if it's NOT good then we notice and moan like hell.

BTW, am I alone in wanting a it more Tardis? I really would like to see around the machine , or at least have an episode based on teh Tardis and its (mis) adventures. All the previous Doctors couldn't bend the Tardis to their will - how has the current incarnation managed to get such control?

Why didnt the first set of Doctor & Rose see the second Rose run past in the first accident run through?? She almost ran into them :)

Or is it just a paradox ;)

TerRrrriiFiCCC!!

Best episode yet. Loved it to bits. The test of a good time-travel story for me is the need I feel (or don't) to rip it to shreds by taking the **** out of the bits that simply don't add up. I think it's something to do with the fact that I was enjoying it so much, that I didn't have time to over-analyse it. Is that something to do with my age?

Top stuff. CE is really starting to grow on me as the Doc. What a shame they screwed up his contract (or whatever it was that went wrong).

The new digital effects are good, it's easier to take seriously monsters that can move faster than 2 mph!

But, big shame about the scripts. The poor doctor's been completely transformed, from a sort of "galactic Sherlock Holmes" into a very unimpressive dimwit.

Last weeks' episode was worst yet. We had tape recorders in 1940 London (!), Moonlight Serenade playing during The Blitz (!), and -worst of all - "nano genes" (genes have always been nano, during the billions of years they've existed!). Obviously not this universe, so what was happening?

It all got explained in Dr Who Confidential, afterwards. That episode's writer said he'd written rubbish, and hadn't bothered to check any facts! Russel Davies said he didn't know what a Tardis was! The Cybermen were used to illustrate supposed "mad science" (a bad choice, since brilliant futurologist Kit Pedlar invented them by carefully projecting known trends, and later wrote the amazingly prophetic Doomwatch tv series). Just who are these people, who happily write rubbish, then boast about it on prime time tv?

Don't get me wrong, The Saturday Evening Ghost Story is a great idea, and I'm all for it, but it shouldn't be called "Dr Who"!

Tape recorders were invented in 1900 (using a magnetised wire), and the Germans were using oxide tapes in the 1930's.
