They used to have them in ball-rooms and they hang them above the dance floor and had lights reflected off them to different parts of the floor.

It is purported to be the world's biggest dance hall mirror ball, measuring 20 feet across and has lazer lights bounced off it at night just for fun
That is the "Big One" in the background it also has some claim to fame which I will never experience
Spotting it from a few million miles away isnt the same as telling it to pick up the phone.
Probable reasons are
it landed slightly faster than expected
it rolled into something that broke off the antenna
a connection to the solar panels failed
