would it be possible for a standard sky dish to receive signals from thor satellite.
I have motorised setup which I have set up but is a bit temperamental.
So I thought about pointing a spare sky dish at Thor, So before I get too involved in the preperation. Is it feasable.? will I get good signal strength.?

BTW I live in Banbury Oxfordshire which is almost the dead center of England.

Yes it is possible, but only just, so thus not advisable as the signal collected would be barely sufficent.

Better thing to do , would be to sort out your motorised dish.

Marginal with even a Zone2 minidish but advisable to opt for 80cm+.
(info based on being 6 miles from Banbury myself :D)

As the others have said.. possible but you certainly wont get all the transponders, and the ones you do get may suffer reception issues in the rain.

Nova Sports isn't on Thor, its on 1W.

I doubt it very much, Just about get it on a 60cm down in Kent.

If your lucky as you need a 50-54 cm dish and as a zone 1 is only 48 it is to hard to say i can check for you as i have a zone one pointing at 19.2e so won't be to hard for me to see :)

It's about having a 'reliable' signal or reception...is what counts :D

I get the spot 3 beam on a zone 1 about 16 miles south of banbury
needs a 60cm for the signal to hold in rain however
