Is that M6 or M8 thread? I am pretty sure it is easy to buy such a bolt. Not so difficult to make one as well.... even INOX.

I,m pretty certain the bolt "butchyboy" is in need of is common to some of the Superjack series of actuators
DSC03339-Optimized.JPG 96 mm long and 3.5 mm across the threaded part DSC03340-Optimized.JPG

I,v quite a few scrap actuator bits .... but dont have a spare bolt from this model .... I,m sure someone on here must have a scrap super jack with this size bolt ?

I see now what bolts. I have several parts of the actuators lying around, so @butchyboy , if you wish I can send you some bolts or even whole actuator assembly.

Sounds like it's M4 or maybe an odd version M5 - but certainly not M6 or M8.

Edited: unfortunately I don't think you can get standard M4 or M5 bolts that long.

yes its a strange one .... the threaded part 3.5 mm is a fraction wider than the non threaded part of the bolt ... the non threaded part is 3.2 mm.

if its m4 thread you can get lengths of threaded bar which you can cut to size and put a nut on the end. not pretty but would do the job !

I'm wondering if the thread might NOT be metric , but some sort of "Imperial" thread as the thread form & dimensions might possibly be 3/16th UNF ("Unified Fine")????

Dreambox1959 noted in a recent thread that an actuator worm was an imperial size:

Take it down to you local hardware strore and see if they have a thread/pitch gauge, this will give you an idea on what diameter bolt and thread pitch to look for.

Nowadays, in the UK, we have very few such hardware stores, and even fewer that might have thread/pitch gauges!

Thus ebay is probably the best place for "us" to look, and so thread gauge products for sale | eBay

Lots of fork handles, though.

Imperial, which is why linear actuators have always been sold in 12/18/24"

I can find some this weekend in the shed but they will not be pristine.
Hi channel hopper I only need one,so if you can throw up a picture of it on here and if it's not to bad I would appreciate it if you can post it to me,I will cover postage.thanks a lot

PS: Now I'm thinking it might be 1/8th UNF as the diameter of a 3/16th UNF bolt would be too large (circa 4.76mm)

Well, I have dug dipper into the issue. Removed bolts from 4 actuator motors. 2 of them have Mx95mm bolts, one has M4x85mm bolts and one has threaded rods with imperial thread (very similar to M5, but M5 nut does not fit). I suspect that @butchyboy needs M4x95mm bolt, which I can send. But suspect that sending even a small package to UK will cost something like 5 EUR.
