TM-5302HD receiver, 90CM Motorised dish. HD smart tv. connected via hdmi cable.
HD TV four hour shutdown disabled.

Purchased a TM-5302HD on August 18th.

Have set it up numerous times only to find that the receiver will not retain Satellites and channels in memory.
For instance it was set up for 17 satellites. The receiver was switched to standby and the TV switched off.
The next morning, the last channel and satellite viewed was still available but the dish could Not be moved to any other satellite in the list.
The receiver is connected to a Toshiba smart tv via a HDMI cable with the four hour TV switch off facility disconnected.

I have even left the receiver switched on and switched off the TV only to find the next time the TV was switched on that the last channel/satellite viewed is the only one available.

Once or twice just adding another satellite results in losing all other satellites, and the dish cannot be moved between satellites in the Sat list, using the Sat button on the remote.

All e-mails to Technomate as well queries via their website have been ignored.

Anyone on the forum have any idea on how to rectify this problem??

Managed to speak to Technomate only to be offered a "Software update" which when checked was the same date as the receiver software, an e-mail to the person who sent the update has also been ignored!

Any help with this will be very much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum, I have had a similar problem before and had to do a complete factory reset, has it been like this from new ? are has the problem just started ?.

This is the latest firmware for your box :).

Thanks for the welcome Martin.

Yes it has been like this from day one.

The receiver software is the same date as that on the link you kindly provided.

I have done Three factory resets, and still the same.

Problem is that Technomate will Not answer any e-mails or queries submitted via their website, so on Friday I sent them a letter, which has been received by them. (Sent signed for), maybe I will be lucky and receive a reply this time.

My dish will find Turksat east and Hispasat west and everything in between, so I am assuming that the receiver is faulty.

Sorry to hear what's going on, my 5302 has been working flawlessly since day one.

Thank you. It's most annoying as I've used three other receivers at this location including an old analogue Chaparral Monterey on KU and C band.
This is the first one with which I've had problems.
It does not help when Technomate ignore all e-mails and website queries.

I'd say if you can't resolve this issue then return it in exchange for another one.

Thanks Captain Jack,
I've written to Technomate and am awaiting a reply.
However Yesterday I tuned 30w 15w 0.8w in that order, then 28.2e and switched off tv and left rxer on.
This morning all satellites are still available.
Makes me wonder if the receiver saved 30w as west limit and 28.2e as the eastern limit.
As once before I had tuned 28.2e and when I next switched on tv I then tuned Hellasat and Turksat and lost all satellites west of those two.

Not sure how TV being off or on has any bearing on what happens to the receiver... Limits.. could in theory be something to do with it but doesn't seem likely.

But if it works now, don't fix it!

Tv switched off late evening, and switched on next morning. Receiver left on rather than switched to standby, as switching to standby has previously resulted in all satellites being lost.

Update.
Everything working fine this morning so I added 10.0E and now I cannot move the dish to the other satellites.
And 10.0E is the satellite available.

Surely this is a faulty receiver??

How's your motor set up? USALS or manual DiSEqC 1.2 positions?

Just tried USALS tuned in 0.8E Thor, then 28.2E and both were slightly off tune.
Sent dish to reference and had to move it to Thor and on checking the numbers under the motor it appears to be at 5E.
So it appears that the dish may have been knocked out of true, it has not been used for a couple of years.
Will have to move to zero and align it with true South, and start again.

Morning C J just for info with a Toshiba smart tv, the rxer should be switched off first to ensure that any HDMI device is reset properly.
And when switching on devices, the tv should be switched on first then HDMI device.
Which is why I left the rxer On and switched off the tv.
Previously I have switched the rxer to standby and lost satellites from memory.
