Good afternoon.

With one of the TMs (the one I got with the TD110 several months ago, and which is older than the one I bought early in 2016, and which has patch 145p loaded) I am finding that when I blindscan Hotbird for Free channels in 1MHz steps, both polarities, it just "stops" at just below 11,700 MHz!. However, when I restart the same scan at 11,700MHz it then seems to "carry on" as normal.
Edited: the m/c does not "crash" because I can still click the "Exit" button on the R/C and then it Saves the found channels and comes back to the Blindscan sat selector list and I can restart the Blindscan at 11,700MHz as above.

I have seen this happen at least twice, including this afternoon with this unit - OTOH, the first occasion might have been with the other TM - so, does anyone have any idea of what might be causing the issue?

Have you tried 4 or 8 MHz Blind scan as there are no SCPC on 13 east as all transponders here are MCPC so a higher scan rate is advisable.

No, I haven't but I have done 1MHz blindscans on quite a few other sats and this sort of issue has never occurred on those.
