I believe that there are a few francophiles like me who like to watch French TV on their Dreambox. Having bought a cheap Strong 7410 TNTSat box in France I prefer to use the card in my Dreambox. Each time Canal Plus change the codes the card stops working until new versions of the softcams are released. When this happens I always ask myself - is it my box or is it something else? I always find it difficult to find news of what is happening to others. It thought it might be useful to have a thread to share information about the current status of TNTSat cards working in a Dreambox.

At present the only softcam that I can get to work is Hypercam 2.11.

Is this forum the best place for this topic?

Great idea! I'm in the same boat.

Mine's just suddenly stopped working with Hypercam 2.11 as of around 10 minutes ago. Unless it's just me, but I've restarted Hypercam several times to no avail.

Bloody annoying seeing as I only got it set up about 3 hours ago after months without. :(

I thought it was a bit strange that it worked until I changed channel from TF1 HD. Cheers for the info; I'll have another mess round with it...

Edit: Got it working again now; I think I need to look at my configuration though. Bizarre... :confused

Can anyone else confirm that the HD channels aren't working with Hypercam 2.11? I can get the SD channels to clear but not the HD ones.

yes but not HD..they made a change few days ago ,so the only way to make it work is to use oscam with 3 set of Aes keys

Glad it's not just me then! Yeah the SD channels are working absolutely perfectly in Hypercam 2.11 still. Why they can't just f'ing leave it alone I don't know. (Well I do, but still...) It's such a PITA seeing as it's the one package I could do with having access to all the time with the ability to record easily, which the official 'lego' box doesn't give me.

I'd like to get OSCam working properly for me as I've had to manually install Hypercam in a less than ideal way but I'm a bit clueless about it. Annoyingly I have no access to the Dreambox for 3 weeks now; it's set to record a job lot of stuff from TF1 and France 2 in the meantime so I'm hoping Hypercam doesn't crash or stop working before then. Pretty much all of it was in HD too but I'm going to stop ranting now.

Update:

Hypercam 2.12 has been released and apparently works fully with TNTSat again.

I can't confirm this myself, but hopefully this means the HD channels are back!

Yes luckily I had access to the Dreambox at the weekend and swapped over to Hypercam 2.12. Just out of interest what image do you use? I use OpenPli and Hypercam crashes fairly regularly with the dreambox requiring a full reboot before it works again. Luckily I've set up remote access over the internet so I can do that whilst I'm away but it's obviously not ideal as I need to check before every recording to make sure it's not crashed which isn't always possible.

Just some scabby old Gemini image which Ive had on for a couple of years. It does for what I want.

Dont know the 500HD but if you can make sure its got a decent swap file set up - it certainly helps keep my 7020 more stable

Ah OK thanks for that! I did used to use Gemini actually and remember Hypercam working from the blue menu; the frustrating thing is that I really like openPli because it's a nice clean, stable image and other than Hypercam I don't think I've witnessed it crash more than twice. I've asked about it over on their development boards so fingers crossed someone'll take a look. :D I'll have a mess around with swap files next time I get a chance!

Gemini blue button downloads no longer work - they turned their servers off a few weeks ago.

Just seen this over on the DS site:

Satellite traders in France have recieved a letter from Canal saying that TNTSAT cards are to be replaced this year. This is because Viaccess 3.0 has been hacked and Canal are now changing to Viaccess 5.0.

TNTSAT viewers will be alerted by on-screen message starting in July, Once a month to start with, then once a week, then once a day.

The new cards will be available by Canal's website or by call centre ...possibly also via distributors. Cards will be sent directly to home addresses and the cost will be around 15 euros ... Canal insists this is just to meet their costs.

Please note - I have no idea how accurate this info is.
