I have a Triax TD110, and it is actually only 100cm wide, so really a 1m, not a 1.1m.

I have it on a STAB H-H 90, it turns OK, but the main problem seems to be slightly more freeplay than is ideal. I'm waiting for the motor to die before I buy a better one though!:-rofl2

This seems to be an inherent fault with Stab motors, far too much play for my liking.

I wouldn't put a 110cm on a DiSEqC motor

What would be a safer bet then in terms of motor for that size dish and location? What's the next step up from DiSEqC? I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I don't want to be calling the installer out every week with alignment issues etc as I'm not very technical – maybe that's his plan?

OK, Horizon to Horizon 36V motor such as the Jaeger or you can use a polar mount and 36V jack arm/actuator with positioner for the Triax 1.1,
but........I would personally recommend the following as I have used and installed many and seem to be reliable:

> Moteck SG2100a / TM2200
> Good Quality 1 Metre Dish, maybe a Gibertini as an example.

So when can you come down and install it then :)

I'm going to try and push for the 1m Gibertini then – I've always liked the look of these. I'm just worried about the delivery of the item. I live in London and I'm worried that the dish will get battered in transit. I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra and collecting from a local shop – but don't think there's anyone who stock them locally. Seems to be all Orbital and Triax around here.
