I'm wondering if the Triax TD110 will work with a Moteck SG-2100A without ANY modifications ?! I saw a report that somebody had to build his own parts for it to work! Can anyone confirm or deny this, please ? :)

Thanks.

If the TD110 has a standard pole mount, then it should fit.

PS. That is though a bigger dish than I would recommend on the Moteck, particularly if the dish is in an exposed location, you will develop slack on the motor arm.

Yes, I agree 100%.

There is a thread I started somewhere about the TD110 fittings. It's not at all obvious how they fit, as the manufacturer has made two additional parts to enhance the strength of both the dish mount and the mast clamp, and not included them in the instructions!

I figured it out in the end with the help of my good freinds here, so post again if you need any assistance.

My TD110 is not on a motor for the reasons above. I also have the superb TD88 on a Moteck.

Thanks. I guess I will have to go with the Triax 110 in aluminium for this to work - or alternatively the Gibertini 100.

Would the Stab HH-120 work better for the Triax 110 ?

Or has it more got to do with the actual size of the dish, rather than the weight of it ?

The bigger the dish, the more the windage becomes a factor, although obviously the weight can dramatically affect the speed of movement and the ligher the dish the better.

PS. Don't think that many DiseqC motors are very happy with larger dishes, so whether a Stab would be any better? The play in the Moteck can be adjusted if it occurs, so it isn't the end of the world. :)

Yes, that's what I assumed.

And I like your P.S. - made it much easier - I think I'll go for the SG-2100A anyway (or actually the Technimate TM-2100A - with a Technimate TM-1500 CI+) :)

I didn't know that!

Any details? Done one? What am I saying - if you've done one, you done 100!

There's a nice little project sheet for S-N for you :D
