Tropical-Like storm..signal nearly dead

Well, it's a lovely tropical-like storm here. The rain is absolutely HAMMERING it down, you can hear it everywhere. Thunder, Lightning, the whole works!

My analogue signal has completely died, which is unusual seeing as you usually get SOMETHING with analogue.

Mine went off late afternoon, have to say that the video is a little "Blair Witch" like. :D

I love my DV Camcorder...love any excuse to get it out and start filming.. :D

Yesterday (june 29th) we had an awful shower in ireland loseing analouge is bad enough the digital also went, My question is how does rain stop a satellite signal.

What happens when you put a glass of water in a micrwave oven. The water absorbs the microwaves, the molecules of water vibrate and heat up. Same principle except the water is not stationary. You could of course argue that watching satellite TV we are contributing to global warming in a small way. Every little helps!!!:D
