Hi all.
I am in the process of building a 12 foot dish for SKY (2D) reception in Cyprus, and need to choose an LNB.

My receiver is the Panasonic TU-DSB30 but the handbook does not confirm if this receiver generates the 22 KHz signal for LNB freq switching.

Can someone please advise on this.
Thanks
Geoff

Yes it does -but be warned there is a problem with these receivers .Some of them fail to remove the 22khz pulse when changing from high band to low band, typically it has been highlighted in the uk by the changeover of the BBC channels to Astra 1D
A modkit can be obtained to cure this problem

Yes, the 22Khz switching can cause problems, but providing you do not use one of the problem LNBs, you should be OK without the added filter.

Known Problematic LNBs are:

ALPS 0.7dB bullet shaped feedhorn
Kathrein
Cambridge (The ones used by Sky)
Skyware 0.6dB
