I have this digiquest reciever with ucas cam and is says 1.4.1.7 in the bin when I view through reciever gui. I have no idea what this is saying but is even worth updating or finding card keys for it? Does anyone have a english manual for the digiquest 6700 I think this is the same as a manhattan reciever.

How old is the receiver, and is there a chance you can take a picture of it (or find one on the Internet ?)

This is my reciever that I need a manual for . I have one
but it's totally in Italian. Anyone seen this one before?
Sorry about the multi-post.....the reciever is about 2 or 3 years old.

There are a huge number of receivers sharing front panels as they come out of the same factory, just different badged names.

The picture suggests its going to be similar to a receiver that was launched about four years ago, and had severe trouble with boot failures and dodgy flash components. Trade it in for something more modern, before you get lumbered with it.

If Toppers links dont work for you, and since Digiquest is really no longer, the only thing you could do is take the top off and post a picture of the innards. Hopefully somebody here will recognise the component layout and be able to advise where to get reliable firmware for it.
You are trading on thin ground though, these receivers did not have a good reputation once they were out in the wild, and the importers quickly replaced it with another model. The repercussions for the manufacturer are still ongoing

Your first post asked

'reciever with ucas cam and is says 1.4.1.7 in the bin when I view through reciever gui. I have no idea what this is saying but is even worth updating or finding card keys for it?'

I assumed you had already plugged the machine in and were not getting the channels you would have liked. Updating the CAM firmware to something else should allow access to some encrypted channels without additional equipment, but this is where the risks start.
Do you have any card you can try in it beforehand ?

Yes hopper I do have a card but not official though. I have a funcard 5 and (2) funcard 7. I have a cas 3 interface and an old apollo card programmer that i dont have software for. What type of files would I need to be putting on the cards? I guess depending on what channels I would like? The fun 5 has old 6 in 1 files that I haven't updated in a while.

Hopper when I put in the fun 5 with the old files it keeps saying initializing, keeps popping up on the screen like every 20 seconds on channels that are encrypted.

Thats nothing to do with the card

What happens on a FTA channel with the receiver only, and what comes up on screen after it has received the channel after a few minutes ?

Sounds like somebody has already tried updating the firmware and mucked it up, the receiver needs a full firmware upgrade, if the hardware isnt to blame.

Okay with free to air channels it shows them, but with encrypted it just says scrambled signal (now this is without a funcard or mr cam) the reciever works normally to me with free to air channels.
Hey I've got a question what do I need loaded on a MR to pickup channels on hotbird cyfra+,D+...etc. Do you need a card in the MR cause i hear people in the forums talking about editing keys on the cam. How does this work??
