Now this is getting specultive - why should 2F will give us any more idea what 2E will be like than 1N has already? - they are all the same model etc and operate from the same position (although 1n will of course move). Is the logic that 1n was not designed for 28 and 2e and 2f are so they are more likelyto be similar? I can't really see that being true as they are intended for different use - or are they designed to be able to back each other up!!! - any way it seems to me we won't really know antthing for certain until 2e is operational - ie later 2013!

yes both will have uk spot beams when the new beam was publish it did kinda of suggest the beam will be the same on all 3

Because 2E and 2F are for the same market. Apart from tolerances those aerials should be identical. After all why would the manufacturer make them any different if they are for the same coverage area? The 1N versus 2F is completely different because 1N is for a different coverage area. In that debate no one is expecting identical performance, the controversy is over the amount of difference.

option astra 2f,2e ut have uk beam both satellite
but info if can switch transponder 2a/2b to 2f.2e uk beam
we know astra 1n it use uk beam temporamy and back to 19e before end of this year

i edit the footprint of astra 2f more expand black line 38db near north turkey
it look near 1.5m to 1.8m
