80cm first, 1.8 second
C4 (1071) : 6.9db, 14.6db
BBC News HD (11023) 7.7db , 13db
BBC Two Eng (10773) 6.65db, 14.4db
C5 8.4db, 13.8db
ITV1HD 11097 0 , 9.2db
ITV1HD 11053 0 , 11.4db
On my 1.8
C4 11 dB
BBC News HD 11.5 dB
BBC Two Eng 11.7 dB
C5 12.0 dB
ITV HD 11097 11.1 dB
ITV HD 11053 10.5 dB

Figure your skew is slightly off, hence 11097 is lower.
Can get all on the 1.2 when I fine tune it.

My Satellite Setup
motorized Gibertini 85cm, fixed dishes from 1m to 64cm, generic FTA HD RX, TBS DVB-S2 PC card, a pile of bits and pieces
My Location
Hadrians Wall
The lower EIRP in the UK is no suprise and continues to justify me using a 'size up' 80cm dish for 28e (taking 60cm as the minimum). If I was using a Sly oval perforated dish I would use a Zone 2 anywhere in the UK, even in the middle of London. I suppose that is the price you pay to get it at a decent bitrate compared to terrestrial and with a good CNR & MER in the biggest storms.

Good signals in western part of Sweden, approx 7-8 dB right now (1m Triax). It will be interesting to se the 24 hour variation since this is the highest frequency that use the UK beam.

There was little me thinking you had the bigger dish to keep the rain off the front door, because you didn´t pay for the front door canopy!

I have to admit I would be tempted to attach the dish to the door so the porch would keep the rain off it.

Does anyone think that with new satellites replacing the old ones with more UK beam transponders that all the channels or most of them in the Sky Basic sub package will eventually go free to air?

bsolutely no chance that most will - a few may go FTA but very few

The excuse they gave for encryption was copyright costs. If they move to UK beam footprint that excuse disappears.

That only applies to FTV channels (only around half dozen now) all others receive revenue from Sky as subscription channels. I think it highly unlikely that any increase in advertising revenue from the minute increse in FTA viewers would match that revenue
