Received this ACM this evening. It's in the region of 75E but I can't find any likely transponders in any of the sat lists. Does anyone further east of me recognise the sat this is on?

What I can tell you is that I can Rx Freq - 11547 H 2500 3/4 from Apstar 76.5E entitled RCS Map and also Homa Telcoma on Freq 11557 H 5185 3/4.
ACM's I cannot receive. So perhaps if you try these Freqs you would know your wherabouts.

I am guessing it must be Apstar 7. Apstar 7 at 76.5E and Insat 4CR on 74E both can use that frequency, but Insat 4CR on India Beam, Apstar 7 on MENA or Africa Beam. Only MENA beam should be receivable in your region, Insat's India Beam not.
You could verify that if you aim your dish at ABS 2 (75E), according to Flysat there should be transmissions on it's MENA Beam on 11856H, 11900H and 12154H and then see if you have to move east- or westwards to get better signal on 11470V...

I really wonder if those two Freqs 11856H -11900H - are really on the Mena Beam, Cause I can rx 12154H ok, but those other two no way!

:confusedSurely Mike is not that far out there's a fair bit of difference from 75E to 45W, maybe something inclined around 75E that's come into line at the time of scanning ? or a new transponder testing for a short period of time ? sounds better to me.

Hi martin-f,

sorry for misunderstandigs and of course my post is not surely :D. For example, why he hasn´t locked other frequencies (from 45.0°W)?

Yes, I had same Idea of an inclined Ku-Satellite between this positions, but I can´t "see" one there.

Many thanks dx qwer, there's a few satellites active round here as you will know more than me, I checked a couple last night but found nothing, but I did not check them all, take a look through these mike if you haven't already.

The two transponders mikefal locked, with identical parameters to the ones qwer showed of 45°W, would be too much of a coincidence if these come from another satellite!

Mikefal's dish is pointing almost to the horizon. Unless there is only open sea, a structure in the dish's beamwidth with just the right positioning, may reflect these 45°W signals.

Two feeds from Apstar -7 @76.5E. Camel and speed boat races.
Ignore the 70E position...am just using it for reference.
