Try erasing the card - are you using a `phoenix` programmer?

Best wishes

One mistake i made:- When you open up your programmer, there should be a little icon in your task bar (bottom right). Do a right click and make sure that `phoenix` is ticked and not `smartmouse`.

If you have something loaded on the card, the programmer will say "unsupported OS". In order to return the OS revision, you need to erase the card of whatever was loaded on it. This involves the process of "trapping" the card, which means that the card is forced to accept programming commands, rather than acting like a smart card.

Some titanium programming software is better at trapping the card than others (it is a timing issue partly). So try a few different programmers from the downloads section on this forum, and go for the erase!

Sometimes it can take a while before anything happens, you may just need to wait a while.

There are apparently several reasons why it sticks on "Sending Trapcode" which is a very annoying thing when it sticks and sticks and sticks...

I put together some step by step information on programming a Tit card - I am not the author of the original document, I just enhanced an article I found on another forum (hi dudez and toez), added my own clarifications and explained some problems and their possible causes.
You can download it here:
http://www.catbikes.ch/programming-a-tit-card.txt
in plain text format.

If anyone wants to add it to their own website or whatever, please feel free.
If anyone has any other solutions or suggestions to the Sending Trapcode problem, I'd be happy to add them to the info-file.
But basically, the faster your computer, the more likely you are to get the eternal "Sending Trapcode" message. On a slow Windows98 laptop it usually works..
